{"id":483,"date":"2016-09-10T03:58:57","date_gmt":"2016-09-10T08:58:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mymusiccitybeat.com\/?p=483"},"modified":"2016-09-10T14:00:31","modified_gmt":"2016-09-10T19:00:31","slug":"we-have-a-full-host-of-marine-activities-for-you-to-enjoy-and-take-part-in-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mymusiccitybeat.com\/?p=483","title":{"rendered":"We have a full host of Marine activities for you to enjoy and take part in today\u2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Reveille<\/strong> comes bright and early from 6:00a.m. to 6:10a.m. at the Court of Flags, 1<sup>st<\/sup> Avenue at Broadway<\/p>\n<p>You can <strong>Work Out With The Marines<\/strong> this morning at the Music City Walk of Fame Park, 4<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue South, from 7:00a.m. to 8:00a.m.\u00a0 They customize your workout to your fitness level!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Morning Colors<\/strong> (raising of the American Flag) is at 8:00a.m. at the Court of Flags, 1<sup>st<\/sup> Avenue at Broadway<\/p>\n<p>There will be a <strong>Wreath Laying Service<\/strong> on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge from 9:00a.m. to 9:30a.m. honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mural Unveiling<\/strong> Ceremony at Douglas Corner Caf\u00e9, 2106\u00a0 8<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue South.\u00a0 Come see the mural the Marines painted on the side of the building!<\/p>\n<p>Marines will work alongside volunteers at <strong>Hands On Nashville\u2019s Urban Farm<\/strong>\u2026 361 Wimpole Drive, from 9:30a.m. to noon\u2026 where our youth learn how to harvest and prepare healthy foods.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dragon Boat Festival<\/strong>\u2026 Cumberland River\u2026 10:00a.m. to noon\u2026 Marines will compete in this year\u2019s race and have amphibious assault vehicles on display.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Static Displays<\/strong> of Marine Corps\u2019 amphibious assault vehicles, artillery, tanks and more on the green by Ascend Amphitheater, 301\u00a0 1<sup>st<\/sup> Avenue South\u2026 10:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marine Boot Camp Challenge<\/strong> from 3:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. at the Music City Walk of Fame Park, 4<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue South, where kids can join Marines in tackling activities and obstacles that are used to test recruits during training.<\/p>\n<p>Come out with the Marines to watch the <strong>Vandy vs. MTSU Football Game<\/strong> at 3:00p.m\u2026 Vanderbilt Stadium, Jess Neely Drive\u2026 featuring a Marine flyover before kickoff, USMC Color Guard presentation of the colors, and Capt.
